Cupcake Idols....featuring Kylie Lambert

I was inspired to create beautiful cupcakes because I had to come up with a way to advertise a 9 carat diamond ring. As my first posting will show you, I ended up putting the ring on a pretty cupcake. I never stopped decorating cupcakes after that ad. And now, I have a little company specializing in gourmet cupcakes that look, I hope, divine. As my little venture evolved and I started to search the web for other people that decorated cupcakes, I stumbled upon Flickr and several groups of women and men that create these unbelievably beautiful and artistic cupcakes.

Well, I think it's time to recognize The Globe's Cupcake Idols. And maybe one day, I too will be some one's Cupcake Idol.

My first Cupcake Idol is Kylie Lambert from Le Cupcake in Australia. her work is both whimsical and playful. She's a true master of her craft. I mean, how cute are these cows? She is also the one who came up with covering cupcakes with fondant like the butterfly shown above.
