Heavenly Yet Beautiful Cupcakes

Starting my own cupcake company was a thrill and I learn so much. But I yearned for the calm of taking my time to create perfect little decorations and unique flavor combinations. After selling my business, I decided to focus on teaching my craft. I hope this site will inspire you to create and indulge in one of the best and most satisfying desserts...the cupcake.

Stop And Smell the Roses.

This last weekend was a doozy of a weekend. I had so many orders I thought I was going to collapse. And it wasn't even wedding season!

The most timely order turned out fantastic. A client called me a few months ago about her mother's birthday. She was planning a phenomenal weekend to celebrate her mom's big day. part of the festivities included a brunch on Sunday morning. She wanted to do something unique with the centerpieces. So after exchanging ideas back and forth, we decided on cupcake bouquets containing 3 flavors of cupcakes and some blue music notes as her mother loves music. I used silk flowers to fill in the arrangements and made the blue chocolate music note lollipops ahead of time. The rush was the day before when my mother and I had to make 9 dozen cupcakes on top of the 4 other orders we had. Assembly was crazy but we pulled through.
The client was thrilled. I must say, when the arrangements were placed on all the tables I too was thrilled. They looked so real. Even the hotel's chef didn't notice they were cupcakes until to he took a closer look and was surprised to see they were made of cupcakes.
It's always nice to surprise professionals. :)
